The Neo Now is song writing duo John Jones (Johnny Coin) and Naomi Black (Naoko Jones). They record at Gypsy Hill Records in Hobart, Tasmania.
The Neo Now's acoustic pop sound is inspired by their belief that life is joyous and is to be enjoyed. We're here for such a short time, it's time to love, laugh and create. Their songs cover heavy topics like the death of a loved one through to happy-go-lucky love songs that can be enjoyed by all generations.
The Neo Now focus on creating quality songs for performers and music publishers. Their primary objective is to hear their songs in films, TV shows and advertising and to licence tracks to other artists to record and perform. In the meantime, they are recording, performing and releasing their songs to get them out there.
Their debut album 'Rainbow Coloured Dynamite' was released through Gypsy Hill Records in 2016.
Naomi Black was co-founder and publisher of the obscure art-house 'Funky Under Cover' (as author N. June M. aka June Mawston) - a poetry, writing and art magazine.
John's previous bands include The Unclaimed with drummer Richard Ploog from The Church and Adrian the keyboardist from Icehouse.
